Compact, light weight, well built : AR Blue Clean AR118 1,500 PSI 1.5 GPM Hand Carry Electric Pressure Washer
I just used my machine for the first time. The first thing to keep in mind is that, as far as pressure washers go, this is a light duty unit. It is much, much more powerful than a garden hose, but you're not going to do the kind of jobs that a larger, more powerful, and more expensive unit would do.
I would give 5 stars, but the user guide is inaccurate and incomplete. They enclose a couple extra loose leaf sheets that I suppose are intended to clarify things, but those aren't clear or correct either.
Apparently, the unit has shipped with a couple different types of connectors for the water supply (garden hose). Mine came with a plastic quick-disconnect. This is a handy feature, but due to the poor instructions it's easy to hook up wrong. People complain on other forums about a problem with the connection to the unit not sealing and thus constantly spraying water all over the side of the machine. I expected this problem and experienced it. I called customer service, which answered quickly, and they explained the problem. The threads on the unit itself, while looking like standard hose threads, are not. They are a metric thread. Thus, you must attach the clear plastic fitting which they call the Water Inlet Filter to the machine as it has the matching metric thread. The other piece of the quick disconnect, which in my case is a blue and black plastic fitting, has a standard garden hose thread and, of course, attaches to your garden hose. If you mistakenly try, as I did, to attach that fitting to the unit it will twist on, but because the threads do not quite match properly it will leak terribly just like people say. Once I reoriented the fittings correctly I had no problem at all with leakage. Being plastic, I don't imagine the fittings will last forever, but it works well for now.
Other than that, I am very happy with its performance. It does exactly what I was hoping it would do without causing damage.
