Moeller DuraMax Flo n' Go LE Fluid Transfer Pump and 14-Gallon Rolling Gas Can SpecificationsWhether your fuel needs include watercraft, hunting and camping, generators, backyard power equipment, or professional landscaping tools, the Duramax Flo 'n' Go fluid transfer pump and rolling gas can make refueling a snap. The Flo 'n' Go is made of a durable, high-density polyethylene material in red that safely holds gasoline, diesel, or kerosene fuels. When it comes time to refill, the pump's patented Flo 'n' Go hand pump and pump holder handle takes over, letting you transfer fluids on level surfaces with minimal priming. And thanks to the dual mechanical shutoff valves at both the tank and hose, the tank's disconnection is spill-proof, providing a safe fuel transfer for both you and the ecosystem.

The tank includes a sizable 14-gallon/53-liter capacity and a 10-foot-long fuel hose, as well as a bolt-on hanger for convenient hose storage. And users will love the sturdy 6-inch wheels, which makes it a breeze to maneuver the tank over rough terrain. Other features include an ergonomically designed, heavy-duty top handle with extra-deep base unit handholds for transport; a UL-approved mechanically vented fill cap; and recessed grooves that provide nuisance-free strapping locations for safer transport. The Flo 'n' Go fluid transfer pump meets all DOT and UN transportation requirements.

Flo and wait.... : Moeller DuraMax Flo n' Go LE Fluid Transfer Pump and 14-Gallon Rolling Gas Can

I purchased my Moeller DuraMax Flo n'go Le Fluid replacement Pump and 14-Gallon Rolling Gas Can back in August of 2006. Back then, the builder was Scepter. It is part of my "fuel strategy" of a six-month rotation of approx. 50 gallons of gas between my S-10 pickup, this Flo n'go and three 5 gallon Nato cans. Every three months the fuel in the Flo n'go goes into the S-10, the fuel in the Nato cans goes into the Flo n'go, and the Nato cans take a trip to the gas middle point for fill ups. Stabil is used to keep the fuel from getting funky. (Of course, in between that procedure, the S-10 gets fueled up as needed at the gas station.) I devised this scheme because Phoenix, Az (the fifth largest city in the Usa) gets its petrol via two dinky pipelines, one each from California and Texas. Even the slightest question with either can evoke a 70's era embargo panic - and that has happened. Now I can go two to three weeks without the need for a gas middle point hopefully giving the pipe line operators enough time to fix things.

Putting the Flo n'go in the bed of the S-10 allows for the fuel to siphon quite well. I use a Velcro strip to hold the pump lever open while retention a close eye on things. I have not timed how long it takes to drain out; suffice to say it feels like "forever." On the plus side, it does give me enough time to catch up on some carport cleaning/organizing!

For topping my sport bike when I want to head way out of town non-stop from my driveway, the pump cope is very nice.

My perceive with this stock mirrors that of other reviewers, good and bad.

At least one gallon remains in the can even if you tilt it send somewhat and it's too bulky to pick it up and shake it colse to to try and get the last of the fuel out.

The wheels have seized up and now act as skids, which is Ok, but really... It's the 21st Century and they can't get wheels right?

The hose kinks easily and is difficult to un-kink. However, it's just sturdy enough to make it practically impossible to coil and store on the hanger regardless of those nice studio shots.

The handle/nozzle pump is delicate and requires a learning curve to keep from squirting all over the place. Make sure the nozzle is fully inserted into anyone gets the fuel before even slightly squeezing the pump lever! And it does dribble quite a bit.

I won't go into the manufacturer's "hose draining instructions" but it's laughable and a real pain. I don't do it.

In the interest of scientific research, I've counted 50-52 squeezes of the pump lever to yield one gallon of fuel.

I have not yet experienced any issues with either of the two valves.

While the can has a "full" level line molded on the outside, the plastic is too thick to see the fuel inside without finding into the filler hole. In the recommended horizontal position, the fuel's surface area is practically 4 quadrate feet and gauging the level rise is difficult. A messy and perilous overflow is clear if you're not very, very slow and specific toward the end. It is great to under fill some than try to max it full up.

Since my Flo n'go spends most of its time parked in a corner, I haven't easily put it to all that much use; probably a dozen times. Though it does work well within my once-every-three-months duty cycle, I cannot dream this unit being enough for anyone more, or slightly more, than that. If you need reliable, fast and tidy fuel storage/transfer equipment, you'd be great off to spend some more money. For my requirements, the price was Ok.
